Elizabeth Tindall, Library Director, Welcomes You!
Welcome to the Homer Public Library!
It feels very surreal to be chosen for this position as early in my career as I am. My predecessor, Mrs. Trixie, loved this library and its patrons so much. My only hope as the new director is that I can love this library, its patrons, and my hometown as much as she did, and help grow our reach and impact.
Our library is so beyond privileged to have a community that loves it as much as its staff does. Despite being a bit quixotic, my dreams for this library are ones that I can’t wait to share with the community. I strive to make this building the perfect third space - not a home, not a job, but somewhere you can freely exist without the pressure to buy anything. It is a safe and inviting space where you can sit, charge your device, use the restroom, say hi to a friendly face, and even read a book.
My office will always be an inviting space, and my door is always open for a quick chat, a heartfelt discussion, or any needed advice. I hope you have a great rest of your day, and I can’t wait to welcome you into the Homer Public Library.
